Madison Quinn was just 13 years old when she founded Strong Little Souls, a Pittsfield, Mass.-based nonprofit dedicated to helping kids battling cancer.

"I began reaching out, offering to send packages and toys with my own money from my side job, and it quickly grew from there," Quinn said, "and I decided this is definitely something that I'm going to want to continue to pursue through the rest of my life."

Nineteen-year old Madison Quinn from Pittsfield, Mass. was selected as a 2020 Patriots Difference Maker of the Week for her commitment to Strong Little Souls, Inc. As part of this recognition, the Kraft family and the New England Patriots Foundation will be making a $5,000 donation to support the nonprofit.

When Madison was 13 years old, she started using her own money to purchase toys for children battling cancer. Sadlowski was promoting his children's book "Finding Brooklyn and the Next Great Superhero." Quinn was raising awareness and receiving donations for her self-started Strong Little Souls charity, its main purpose, as her Facebook page says, to brighten the days of sick kids by sending or delivering care packages (to them)!"

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — About two years ago, Madison Quinn was browsing through Instagram when she found photos of Abel.

Abel was a young boy in California fighting cancer. The photos she saw touched her and she reached out to his mother asking what he likes because she wanted to send him a get well present. It was Batman. Quinn went to the store and bought a Batman figurine and mailed it out to California. Abel took the wings off of Batman and took it with him for every single chemo treatment, and his mother sent photos of that back.

"I wanted to do something," the 15-year-old Pittsfield High School junior said. "Not enough people do it. There is a lot of bad in the world. But these kids are going through more than they ever should and they're severely underfunded, they have limited treatment because adult cancers get 96 percent of the funding and all childhood cancers get 3.8 percent."
